Our colonial attired tour guides will bring history to life as your students visit key sites that are part of Maryland's colonial past and our nation's history. Learn about life in the mid to late 18th century. Tour includes the temporary Maryland State House exhibit (when available). This tour satisfies several of the Maryland State Department of Education curriculum requirements.

Hammond-Harwood House Kitchen
Explore a colonial kitchen and wonder at the difference between past and modern day amenities.

The Pacas' servants have full run of the kitchen and can tell stories about the comings and goings of the households as only they see them. They will share their knowledge of traditional foods and the dishes favored by the Pacas and their guests.

Armed with compass and clues, Watermark colonial guides will help your students discover the hidden secrets of Annapolis. To find the answers, teams will visit a variety of Annapolis landmarks, all within a half-mile radius of Annapolis City Dock. Inscriptions on statues will be read, architectural features of buildings identified, and other notable landmarks will be searched to answer the scavenger hunt riddles.

Step aboard Harbor Queen for a 40-minute narrated cruise of historic Annapolis Harbor and the banks of the U.S. Naval Academy. Students will enjoy getting on the water and catching a glimpse of the Bay Bridge.

40 Minute Cruise

Engage your students with actual tales of pirates who prowled the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Once they build a tool used by sailor of old, students will step aboard and cruise the Bay discovering little know facts about maritime history and piracy. Ingenuity and teamwork will be needed from the students to unravel the mystery of this treasure.

Our 18th Century Annapolitan will lead your young scholars on a journey back in time to explore life during Colonial America.
