WALKING  THROUGH  ANNAPOLIS

An Annapolis Tours by Watermark, formerly Three Centuries Tours', guide dressed in colonial attire, will take you on a tour of the historic area of Annapolis and the US Naval Academy.  Your tour will include the interior of the Maryland State House*, the country’s oldest state capital in continuous legislative use.  Here you will view the Old Senate Chamber, where in 1783 George Washington resigned as Commander-in-chief, and visit the chambers where each year, Maryland’s General Assembly meets for 90 days.

Continuing through the historic area, on your way to the Naval Academy, you will pass many 18th century mansions. In the shadows of these buildings, your guide will share with you some history of the famous statesmen that built these magnificent structures.

“Although we thoroughly enjoyed everything about Annapolis, the tour was the highlight of our trip.”

- Sandi Jackson, Visitor

Founded in 1845, the United States Naval Academy is home to 4,000 of our country’s future naval leaders. As you tour this beautiful campus you will experience the sense of military tradition and heritage everywhere.

Your visit will include the Naval Chapel*, the Crypt of John Paul Jones*, and Bancroft Hall*. During the academic year, you may view Noon Meal Formation of the midshipmen, weather and schedule permitting.  Interiors when available
